  • Revives body and mind

  • Releases endorphins and serotonin

  • Improves cardiovascular strength

  • Boosts the immune system

  • Alleviates pain

At Hoar Cross Hall, we’re always on the lookout for ways we can make your visit even more relaxing. That’s why we’re thrilled to be introducing a brand-new experience to our array of Spa treatments: our Aufguss Sauna Ritual!

The Aufguss is a traditional sauna ritual designed to revive your body and mind, through a 15-minute experience that sparks all the senses. It’s led by a dedicated, specially trained Sauna Master, who turns towel waving into an artform, by combining it with water and using it to distribute heat around the sauna, all to the soothing sounds of carefully chosen music.

During the experience, the sensory heat gradually rises, releasing endorphins and serotonin to give you a wonderful feeling of wellbeing. This intense heat also stimulates your cardiovascular strength, boosts your immune system, and is even said to help alleviate pain.

Smell is another important sense throughout your blissful sauna ritual, with essential oils released to unlock even more healing benefits, which will vary depending on the oil used.

The result is a multi-sensory experience that leaves your mind and body both relaxed and revived, ready to enjoy the many more delights Hoar Cross Hall has to offer.
