VOYA, derived from the word Voyage, is a concept that began in 1912, when the first seaweed baths opened on the west coast of Ireland. Seaweed bathing is a 300-year-old tradition and Ireland’s only indigenous therapy.
Who are Voya?
In 2006, Voya became the world’s first certified organic seaweed-based skincare brand. Founders Mark and Kira Walton initially joined the family business, a traditional bathing house on the coast of Ireland but quickly realised customers wanted to replicate the soothing effects of seaweed bathing experience at home. Their first product, Lazy Days, a seaweed bath is still a popular choice today.
