September Treatment of the Month

September Treatment of the Month

Clarins Ultra Relaxing Facial

How lucky am I? I was literally one of the first people in the country to have this amazing facial right here at Eden Hall.

My therapist Kate who is Eden’s Clarins expert was so lovely and welcoming. Before Kate began the treatment, she asked me about my lifestyle and self-esteem to which I replied ‘I have a good lifestyle; a balanced diet and my skincare routine is thorough (although at the minute my skin is looking a bit on the dull side). Even though I have an 18-month-old, I manage to get decent sleep, believe it or not. But with a busy home life and job my skin can suffer from time to time. The thing I lack is hydration- I don’t drink enough water, and I have a very active mind which doesn’t like to switch off! Kate listened and then asked me how I wanted to feel after this treatment. So, I told her ‘I want to feel relaxed but uplifted and ready to conquer the world. I want my skin to look refreshed and more hydrated’.

What makes this treatment unique is that it is so personalised. Based on your mood requirements, your therapist helps you select a colour to light the room and then selects the perfect oil to suit your skin concerns. Kate chose a Red/Orange light to help me feel brighter and more uplifted and inspected my skin using pressure point techniques to help identify where to focus the treatment and which oil to use. I was very obviously holding tension around my eyes and neck.

I laid down and let myself relax into the low-lit room with the light therapy setting the mood in the background. Kate began the treatment, putting me into an ‘Aroma Bubble’ which instantly destressed and relaxed every part of me. She then started to cleanse my eyes and lips followed with a warm cleansing milk to the face to lift off any impurities and to soften the skin. Kate applied the NEW Nourishing Comfort Scrub which helps to polish off even the tiniest of dead skin cells. She then used the Hydra-Essential Eye Mask which helps target the appearance of dark circles, wrinkles and puffiness. Perfect for an instant pick-me-up, this deeply moisturising eye mask creates a well-rested look, which I was in need of!

Kate applied 3 drops of blue orchid oil to the ‘third eye’ and thymus gland to calm and release stress, this was followed by a tension busting massage to the décolleté, whilst my lovely facial massage relaxed my features and hydrated the skin. Kate had mixed SOS Hydra and Beauty Flash Balm together to create the perfect aroma mask giving my skin LIFE! She used sweeping movements with 2 brushes to apply then finishing with her gentle hands to soak the product in. Warm mitts were swept over my skin to remove the excess product before she rebalanced and protected my skin with Double Serum and the NEW Plant Gold.

Then the reawakening ritual then began. This was the perfect way to finish the facial. Kate’s aftercare was inspirational and such an eye opener. Kate had told me at the beginning of the treatment that my skin was dehydrated, dull and tired looking which I agreed with. She advised me to increase my intake of water through both food and drink. Clarins Tonic Bath & Shower was recommended for me to use in the morning to kick start the day and help wake me up. She also recommended that I avoid screens and digital gadgets before bed so my mind can switch off.

This Ultra-Relaxing Facial is the ULTIMATE treatment for relaxing the skin and mind. I’ll certainly be rebooking!

This is the perfect treatment to include on your perfect Spa Day- and if you have this facial during September, we’ll give you 20% off!
