We can’t believe it’s been nearly a year since two of the area’s most popular events last took place. The Newark Half Marathon and Southwell Races Ladies Day are coming around again on Sunday 11th and Sunday 18th August.
We can’t believe it’s been nearly a year since two of the area’s most popular events last took place. The Newark Half Marathon and Southwell Races Ladies Day are coming around again on Sunday 11th and Sunday 18th August.
As true supporters of all things local, Eden Hall Day Spa will be proud sponsors for both of these fabulous days.
On Sunday 11th August. the Newark Half Marathon starts and finishes at the Sconce Park, site of civil war battles, passes the Ice Age Journey dig, where our ancestors settled over 13,000 years ago, skirts East Stoke, goes through Elston, home of Eden Hall and then back to the Sconce Park.
Road closures will be in place during the Marathon period so please check your route before travelling on the Sunday. Details of race time and road closures can be found on the Half Marathon website.
Once again, a representative from Eden’s Leisure Team will be motivating the runners with a pre-race warm up. We also have a stand at the finishing line where members of our team will be offering congratulations to the runners and be on hand to provide information about Eden Hall.

Sunday 18th August is another busy day in the local and national sporting calendar. From 11am, Southwell Racecourse opens its gates for Ladies Day. We’ll be there meeting and greeting race-goers, offering a prize for Best Dressed, not to mention sponsoring one of the races. Most importantly, we will be joined by Clarins Beauty Experts at our fabulous Perfume and Pout stand where guests of Ladies Day can pop over for a spritz of Clarins fragrance or a top up of lipstick and be in with a chance to win a Spa Day.
With an expected crowd of over 8,000 people, it’s going to be a great day out. And it all got underway with a launch night hosted by Eden Hall on Thursday 18th July where we were joined by Southwell Racecourse, Ladies Day sponsors and their guests for drinks, canapes and entertainment in our gorgeous grounds.
